The printed grid side paper may contain a number of what look like lines of bubbles. Don’t be concerned this part will be discarded. These are the same exact ones we use to make all our shades.

What can I make with these sizes?
A 46" long piece is enough material to create anything up to a 14" diameter drum shade. Using a utility knife, cut to appropriate length. You can use the height as is or cut across top to create a desired height.
A 55" long piece will create anything up to a 17"diameter drum shade. Using a utility knife, cut to appropriate length. You can use the height as is or cut across top to create a desired height.
Create a matching pairs by purchasing a second strip.

We are sorry but we cannot make custom cuts for you at this time. Just use the appropriate pattern for your shade and trace and cut with a utility knife or scissors. (Stay tuned for this possible future service)

Save it as your pattern for your new shade.
Remove the paper, styrene, or fabric around the rings carefully trying to keep it in one piece. This you will use as a pattern to trace around for the new shade.
So many people end up purchasing a pattern they didn’t originally because they trashed the old one. Estimating how much material is needed for conical or empire (slanted style) shades that are not drums are difficult to figure out without the pattern being used.
