FAQ
Are your shades handmade?
Yes! Every shade at The Little Shade Shoppe is handmade. We use use high-quality designer fabrics, primarily cotton and linen. Because each piece is crafted to order, you receive a unique product tailored specifically for your home.
Can I request a fabric sample?
Absolutely. We understand that colors can look different on various screens. We highly recommend requesting a fabric swatch if you are trying to match a specific color or decor style to ensure you are happy with the final product.
Why do you recommend ordering matching shades at the same time?
We carry a wide variety of designer fabrics. If you need two matching shades, it is best to order them together. Ordering at a later date can sometimes result in slight variations in dye lots or how the print pattern is laid out on the fabric.
What kind of shades do you specialize in?
We primarily specialize in drum shades. This style allows us to showcase beautiful, intricate prints and designer patterns that often don't translate as well to conical or empire style shades.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Because our shades are handmade to order, we generally ask for a 30-day window for production. While we strive to get most orders out within two weeks, the extra time allows us to ensure the fabric meets our quality standards and accounts for any shipping delays from our textile suppliers.
What if I need my shade by a specific date?
If you have a deadline—such as a housewarming or a special event—please let us know at the time of your order. We will do our best to accommodate your timeline whenever possible.
What is your return policy?
We want you to love your new shades. You may return your shade within 14 days of receipt, provided it is returned in its original condition.
Who pays for return shipping?
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. We may be able to provide you with a prepaid return label and deduct the cost from your final refund. Please note that if an item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
How can I get in touch?
If you have questions about a specific fabric, need help with sizing, or want to check on an order, please contact us through our website's contact form. We pride ourselves on being communicative and are always happy to help!
